This couple has such an amazing story that gives you faith in true love and that some things really are meant to be!
The Love Story
We met in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic in February of 2020. My college classes had been moved online, so I headed back home to live with my parents in Premont, Texas. Meanwhile, Jacob was living in Victoria, Texas and when everything closed down he headed back to his hometown of Falfurrias, Texas, for a quick trip to see his family and get a haircut.
On the same day that Jacob went back to Falfurrias, Texas, we matched on a dating app and met the very next day at a Target in Corpus Christi (masks and all). Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Come to find out, our families had already known each other and lived about 10 minutes from one another. We began dating in May of 2020, got engaged in June of 2022, and married in October of 2023.
We firmly believe that God has blessed us in finding one another, and even through a worldwide pandemic, God is faithful.
The Best Part of Being a Chandelier Couple?
We had not looked at any other venues, but the moment we walked through The Chandelier, we knew that it was the place we wanted to have our wedding! Not only is it ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, but every person that we interacted with at The Chandelier was sweet, supportive, and able to answer any questions that we had. They were even available on the weekend to answer any questions that we might have had before we signed our contract! This venue had everything we needed and wanted in a venue. My husband and I really wanted to get married in a chapel or church, but wanted the reception hall to be close so people did not have to drive, and The Chandelier had both! A beautiful chapel, with an even better reception hall. The bridal and grooms suites were also the perfect addition and getting ready there was so much fun!
Most Memorable Moment
The most memorable moment was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Jacob at the altar with tears in his eyes. I will never forget that moment.
Advice from the Newlyweds
My advice would be to relax and enjoy every moment. The day goes by so fast and every moment is absolutely precious. I wish I could relive this day over and over, but part of the magic is that it is one day of pure bliss, full of love with all your favorite people. Do not worry so much about the details, everything will work out, and it will be the best day of your life.
Planning the florals and special details with our coordinator were some of my favorite parts of the planning process. Jake and I also really enjoyed creating and tasting the specialty drinks for our guests!
Special Shout Outs
Our vendors were all amazing and they were all vendors that we met at The Chandeliers open house, another benefit of this awesome venue!
I just cannot even put into words how amazing this day was. We will never forget this day. Everything was beautiful and all of our vendors were so thoughtful and professional. Every detail was taken care of and allowed us to soak up every moment! The drinks were amazing, the food delicious, the cake beautiful, the florals and details went off without a hitch, the donkeys were adorable, and the venue was everything we had ever wanted. This experience was amazing and although it was stressful at times, every vendor knew exactly what to do, and I knew I could trust them to make our wedding perfect! The sweetest moments were my first look with my dad and walking down the aisle to my now husband, it was surreal!! I am so thankful for our photographers because they caught every moment, things I didn’t even get to see because the day went by so fast! I can’t say enough or thank our vendors enough, it was the BEST. DAY. EVER.
