The Love Story
We met in 2016 when we both worked at the Gristmill restaurant in Gruene, TX. We bonded over the grueling Texas heat and heavy food trays we had to carry. Over the years we went on a few dates and kept in touch, Blake even took me to his co-workers baby shower (we still laugh about this). We hadn’t spoken in a couple of years, but in February of 2021, Blake asked me on another date. We knew that this date was different and even though I originally “wanted to take things slow” our love for each other (and Blake’s love for my dog Ranger) grew quickly. In February 2022, Blake planned a surprise proposal weekend for me and included so many of our loved ones in a surprise engagement party!

Why They Chose The Chandelier
We fell in love with the chapel immediately during our tour! There is something so serene about the chapel at the Chandelier that spoke to us, and we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else! The Chandelier has also done an amazing job at making the entire venue both vendor and guest friendly, making the day seamless.

Most Memorable Moment
Walking down the aisle and seeing my now-husband with all of our favorite people there to watch us become husband and wife. The backdrop of the altar was perfect, I felt beautiful in my dress, and the classical guitarist was the cherry on top. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better moment.

Their Best Advice
Do what YOU want to do. There are so many weddings on Instagram and Pinterest, and it can be easy to start trying to compete. At the end of the day, you will be happiest just choosing what speaks to YOU. The Chandelier is an amazing canvas, so you and your guests will be impressed no matter how you decorate. I also recommend prioritizing your top three budget items and sticking to it! Weddings get expensive, FAST, so you have to be willing to commit to the vendors you decide to splurge on. Save some $$$ on the others. I promise you will still have a beautiful day!

All The Sweet Deets
I loved SO much from that day, but some of my favorite details were all of the special little things we chose to make our guest experience more special. Each guest has a handmade escort card and a thank you note on their place setting. We also chose to entertain our guests with a classical guitarist for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and then with a fabulous mariachi group during dinner.

Another piece of planning that I feel made a huge impression on our wedding’s overall aesthetic was the florals. From our centerpieces to our bouquets, the florals were really the key to giving our wedding the whimsical, regency feel I was going for!

A Real Tear-Jerker
For my father-daughter dance, my dad surprised me with a recording of me at 4 years old singing “I Wish I Could” by Collin Raye. My aunt and uncle used to be DJ’s and they kept the recording for the last 23 years for this day. My family coordinated with my DJ behind my back to have it played. It was so sweet and a real tear-jerker for all of our guests.
