It feels like we blinked and somehow it’s a brand new year on the calendar. Last year was amazing in so many ways and we feel so fortunate that we got to meet and celebrate so many couples. We know we’ve said it a thousand times, but we truly feel so blessed that we get to do this everyday.

Y’all know by now that weddings are our love language. So, before we fully jump into the new year and all of the weddings to come, we figured the best way to kick off the year would be a blog post sharing some of our favorite things about weddings (with some really gorgeous pictures of Emily and Taylor too!). In no particular order, let’s get to it.

1. Every wedding is different.

From the design to the timeline to the people to the atmosphere to the love story, every single wedding is different and no two weddings are ever exactly alike. Some like to do fun things with their decoration, like getting balloon arches, or have fun props for taking pictures. We wouldn’t want it any other way.

2. Excitement is in the air.

There’s always a sense of excitement bubbling at weddings with a ton of camaraderie shared by everyone in the room. Weddings are so happy and joy filled and you can feel it as soon as you arrive.

3. All of your favorite people are in one room.

Your wedding day is one of the only times in your life where everyone you love is in one place AND you get to capture photos of them. It’s truly so special.

4. Our couples are so creative at finding ways to reflect their personalities.

We love all of our couples and get so thrilled to see how their personalities and passions come out during their wedding day. From unique grooms cakes and interesting music to college traditions and off the wall food pairings, your wedding day is all about you.

5. The focus is on the couple no matter what else is going on.

Life happens, but somehow everyone seems to slow down at weddings and we put the hustle and bustle of everyday life aside to focus on the couple getting married. For that night, they are the biggest priority.

6. Wedding dance floors are like no other dance floors.

The energy, dance moves, and atmosphere are one of a kind on a wedding dance floor. Let it loose and have fun with it.

7. They get you to sit down and really think about what you love about your spouse.

At the core of a wedding day is the love shared between you two. From writing vows to sharing intimate moments together, your love gets to shine so bright on your wedding day.

8. Everybody looks so good.

Seriously, we love seeing everyone dolled up and looking their best. It’s fun to have an excuse to dress up sometimes.

9. You get to reminisce and reflect on your own love story.

Whether you’ve been married for 50 years or are still dreaming of your happily ever, weddings are a great opportunity to think about your own love.

10. The flowers always blow us away.

We’ve never seen two weddings with the exact same bouquets and floral design, but the beauty of them still blows us away every single time. From simple accents to over the top installations, we love them all.

11. Nobody looks the same.

We’ve seen a ton of different bridesmaid dresses, wedding dresses, and tuxedos, but no one looks the same in any of them, even if they’re choosing the “same” styles or colors. Each wedding party is unique.

12. The wedding cake.

Not gonna lie y’all, we love wedding cakes (and all wedding desserts for that matter). Looking at them, eating them, and seeing everyone enjoy them.

13. So many vendors are all working together to make it happen.

There are so many moving parts on a wedding day and it’s the coolest thing to see so many people come together to design a dream day for our couples.

14. You get to walk away with physical things to remember it by.

We’ve written multiple blog posts about this (check them out here and here) but what it really boils down to is your wedding day lasting long after the grand exit.

15. The Music.

We love wedding music because it’s always a fun mix of different styles and can completely set the tone. The right band or DJ is also a pro at choosing songs that keep people engaged, making the whole night more fun.

16. It’s a massive celebration to start your life together.

Weddings are supposed to be fun, but the marriage is what is truly important. We like to think of them as a grand kickoff for the rest of forever.

17. There’s always a surprise.

No matter how many weddings we go to, something always seems to catch us off guard. Sweet moments in the ceremony, a cute flower girl who refuses to walk down the aisle, coordinated wedding entrances – the list goes on and on. The unexpected moments are always some of the best.

18. We get to meet so many cool people.

We’ve had thousands of people through our doors the last year and we’ve enjoyed so many of them. Weddings bring together the most unique groups of people and we can’t get enough.

19. You make memories that last a lifetime.

Weddings go by so fast but it’s truly astonishing how many memories are made in that one day. We’re firm believers that you’ll always remember your wedding day and how you felt during it.

20. Nobody is a stranger.

Even people you don’t know are easy to feel connected to because you know you have common ground with the couple you’re there to celebrate. There’s no better time to strike up a conversation with someone new.

21. There are a ton of emotions.

There are so many emotions going on during a wedding day, from the love between a couple to the pride of their parents to the joy of flower girls. It’s part of what makes wedding days so incredibly special.

22. You chose us to be a part of it.

We are truly honored when you choose to have your wedding at The Chandelier. We consider all of our couples, vendors, and guests a part of our family. We love getting to celebrate with y’all.

We could go on and on and on about all of the things we love about wedding days, but we’ll keep it to 22 in honor of the new year. Here’s to 2022 – we hope it’s filled with lots of weddings and a ton of love for you!
