They Go Together Like PB&J
Michael and I wanted to do something special and even a little silly for our unity ceremony. We chose to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We both love PB&J and felt it describes our relationship perfectly; we are sweet with the perfect amount of nuttiness. When you think of one, you think of the other. Once joined, like our marriage, you can’t separate the peanut butter from the jelly or vice versa. Peanut butter and jelly are okay on their own, but once joined it makes an awesome duo, just like us. To give our guests a little wink back at our unity ceremony, we even passed out uncrustable PB&J sandwiches as our late night snack! We will never forget that moment in our ceremony. Consider incorporating the spirit of unity into your celebrations and buy holiday cookie gifts for your loved ones if you’re looking for a delightful way to share the sweetness.

Why They Chose The Chandelier
We chose the Chandelier because the entire venue is breathtaking. We honestly didn’t look anywhere else! The Chapel is classic and charming. The entire setting is dreamy. We loved having the reception hall right across from the chapel making it an easy walk for guests and they didn’t have to drive anywhere else which is a huge bonus. The reception hall is elegant and one that brides can only dream of. We also loved renting the house next door so my immediate family could stay on the grounds that night and could walk right to their rooms after the night was over. We were honored to call the Chandelier home for our big day!

Most Memorable Moment
There were so many memorable moments from our wedding day. The most memorable for me would probably be the first look with my dad. My dad holds a special place in our family. He is our rock and is just such a good man and dad. My dad doesn’t cry often, so when he turned around to see me in my dress for the first time, my heart exploded when I saw the tears roll down his cheeks. My family was watching as well and when he cries, we all cry! I love my dad so much, so for him to see me as a bride was very sentimental and is a moment I will never forget.

Another sentimental aspect of our wedding was using Michael’s Grandpa’s, all original, Thunderbird as our getaway car. Michael’s grandpa passed away, but he got to be there with us in spirit and I’m sure he was thrilled in heaven to see us driving off in that beautiful car he bought back in 1963.

Advice from the Bride and Groom
I would definitely get a wedding planner from the start. We worked with Ashtynn from Lila Lane Planning and she made everything so easy. We met monthly and she kept us on track with booking vendors. The planning wasn’t stressful because we trusted her expertise. I also chose several vendors who had experience at the Chandelier because I thought it would be a smooth transition to work somewhere they have been before. One thing I know now that I didn’t realize while planning, is some of the small details that we overthink don’t matter as much on the big day. Small details come together to make a big impression, but if you’re spendinging a lot of time contemplating bridesmaid’s earrings or the groomsmen’s suits fitting right just know that on the big day, those details truly don’t matter. You will be so focused on marrying your best friend and having the best day ever, so don’t overthink the small stuff.

Bridal Trial
I really loved doing Bridal photos! It is a chance to do a trial run for the wedding day. I worked with my photographer, florist, and beauty team to set it all up and it made me even more confident for the wedding day! I got to see how everything comes together with hair, makeup, and jewelry, and got to practice walking and sitting in my dress. I even got sneak peek photos back quickly and it brought me so much joy and made me feel like a bridal beauty.

Vendors Make the Difference
We truly had amazing vendors! Bethany at Wander Weddings made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt. The food was delicious, the band got the party started, the signature drinks were so tasty, and the florals created a dreamy and elegant space. I highly recommend our photographer as well. Her photos are vibrant, classic, and capture the joy of the day. We will cherish everyone who played a part in making our wedding day truly amazing.
